Tarmac (short for tarmacadam) is a type of road surfacing material patented by English inventor Edgar Purnell Hooley in 1902. Tarmacadam is a great choice for your driveway as it can be suited to all budgets and styles, it also brings a look of elegance and simplicity. Tarmac is one of the most popular driveway options in Ireland today due to its great appearance and longevity.

At Gregory Tarmac Supplies we are able to surface driveways by applying a layer of tarmac over existing concrete, bare ground or even existing tarmac that has become worn. Resurfacing existing tarmac driveways with a new wearing course is usually the fastest way to refresh your drive without disrupting your daily routine. You’ll be able to get back to using your driveway quickly, with minimum cost or fuss. Since its foundation more than 10 years ago Gregory Tarmac Supplies have built a solid reputation in the local area and have become one of the most trusted and established tarmac contractors along the East Coast of Ireland with both commercial and domestic customers. Tarmac is built to withstand the wear and tear of continual vehicular tyre movements and the weight of vehicles being parked on it. However, over time and due to exposure of weather extremes, ie cold, heat and sunlight, the tarmac/asphalt can expand/contract and eventually erode. Cracks and pitting can form which may require the area to be repaired or totally resurfaced depending on the amount of damage to the tarmac.

We carry out our resurfacing/repair works either by hand or machine lay. This would be dependent on the size of the repair works.
